Highlands & Markets – 12 Days

Guests journey to the heartland of Mayan culture, the highlands of Guatemala. This once isolated area is home to dozens of different Indigenous Mayan groups who still keep true to their ancient ancestry. Guests will delve into local culture learning about local cooperatives, staying the night with a Mayan family and exploring aut-hentic local markets. These markets play a central role in Guatemalan culture and customs, they are a meeting point where people unite to trade, do their weekly shopping and share.

Day 1: Saturday arrival and Transfer to Antigua

Day 2: Free morning to relax and afternoon Streetfood tour with Culinary Specialist Day 3: AGAIG (As Green as it Gets) Coffee Tour and Jade Artisan Workshop

Day 4: Transfer to Totonicapán via market of Comalapa, Homestay with local artisan family for the night

Day 5: Cultural program in Totonicapán, afternoon transfer to Quetzaltenango via Colorful church of San AndresXecul

Day 6: Walking tour of Xela, Afternoon to Fuentes Georginas (Hot Springs)

Day 7: Tour of San Francisco El Alto Livestock market and transfer to Unicornio Azul
